Forensic Science Workshops May 14
The children enjoyed the experience of a Forensic Science workshop. They studied clues to find a stolen dog. This included inspecting footprints and thinking about how effective they are. Studying and identifying fingerprints by recognising the patterns; arch, loop and whorl and looking at ink used in handwriting. This was followed in the classrooms using an ultra violet lamp and a hand gel which highlights germs left behind when hands have not been washed thoroughly. The children were surprised at the results and recognised that they were not always washing their hands properly!
