The Queens 90th Birthday 21st April 2016
We celebrated the Queens’ 90th birthday in true British style on Thursday 21st April by holding an afternoon tea party. Following a morning of activities based around the life of the Queen and the Royal family the children experienced a traditional street party. The party began with everyone standing to sing the National Anthem and Land of Hope and Glory. They were then served cucumber sandwiches and scones with jam and cream. The response from the children was overwhelming.
They were full of enthusiasm for the days celebrations and had all made a fantastic effort with their costumes. The party finished with a rousing ‘3 cheers’ to wish Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II a fantastic 90th birthday. Souvenir gifts were also presented to the children.
