Maths Bingo Challenge Dec 17
Here are just some of the photos that our parents sent in of their children taking part in the Maths Bingo Challenge over the Christmas holidays.
We have Mia playing Bingo with her Nanny, Hashim finding, sorting and categorising everyday 3d shapes. He wrote his name 7 times in a minute and completed 25 jumps in 1 minute. Keenyah found a 3d shape and tried to complete the Rubik cube challenge. Mariam counted how many steps it took to get to the shop, then counted how many sweets she could buy. Shayne went to Toys R US to spend his vouchers and Christmas money. He then went off to the park and counted the steps - all 252 of them! Asher weighed brussell sprouts in Tesco, measuring a pinch of salt when baking at home and estimated the height of a tree in the centre of Milton Keynes. He estimated it as 10 meters tall. Jacob paid for his hair cut, played Snakes and Ladders - where he was really lucky at rolling the number 6 on the dice lots of times, counted leaves, making numbers using twigs and leaves, searched for the number printed on a telegraph pole (701), paid for a hair cut using 2 £5 notes and calculated the change, jumped 24 times in 10 seconds and found a really tall tree in Lapland and estimated its height to be 16/17 meters tall. Sharon visited her local toy shop and pay for the items herself. Daniyal went to Tesco with his Mum and weighed items and printed a label using the electronic scales then paid for the items using the self checkout tills. Nathan has been busy looking for numbers, letters 2d and 3d shapes in the local area, located the tallest tree in the park, weighed ingredients to make banana cakes, paid for items at the local shop.
