Blue Class Dell Farm Trip Nov18
On a crisp, cold sunny day, Blue Class spent the day at Dell Farm. First our instructors, Luke and Charlotte explained the rules of the farm ....... Ashlyn knew that after touching the animals we had to wash our hands.
In the morning we split into 2 groups so that we could feed & look at the animals and to make Christmas decorations to hang on a tree. It was a great opportunity for the children to get real close to farm animals. Zeenat pointed to the donkeys and asked 'What are they?' 'Why are they purple?' Luke explained that the donkeys get cold and like to wear a coat to keep them warm. On our walk around the farm, we met farmers working, Yassin was convinced they were 'Old MacDonald'
In the afternoon, children & staff dressed up and we was then led by Jenny & Beauty the donkeys to a stable where we retold the story of 'The first Christmas'. It was a magical and special part of the day. Yassin impressed Luke & Charlotte with a solo of 'On the way to Bethleham'
At the end of the day the children were asked about their day........ 'It was awesome' said Mahbabull
'I had lots of fun' replied Eliza when staff asked 'Why?' 'Because we saw lots of animals' 'Because we could feed the animals' were some of the answers.
Both children and staff had a fantastic day at Dell farm.
