Agility Challenge March 2019
Agility Challenge
Active Luton set a task for all Luton schools to promote ‘Personal Challenge’. Personal Challenge was introduced last year as a new level of competition to the School Games Mark criteria.
The task for Spring term was ‘An Agility Challenge’ The children had to bounce side to side, which was counted by staff. The challenge was to do as many bounces in 15 seconds. To set a ‘personal challenge’ the children had to do this activity twice, so they had the opportunity to improve their previous score.
This challenge took place over 2 weeks (12th to 22nd March) at lunch time. The mid-day supervisors were in charge of ensuring every child had the chance to carry out the bounces at least twice.
All the children from full-time nursery to year 2 took part.
75% of the children improved on their score. Well done to White & Turquoise Classes, all the children in both classes managed to improve their scores.
The top scores that will be submitted to Active Luton are –
Igor (Year 1) 46 bounces
Faizah (Year 2) 44 bounces
Jannat (Year 2) and Abdullah (Year 1) joint 43 bounces
Congratulations to them and all the children who improved on their personal challenge.
