Pyjamarama Day May 2021
We participated in Pyjamarama, a reading event hosted by The Books Trust to raise money for less fortunate children and families who are not lucky enough to have books and stories of their own. The children and teachers all enjoyed coming to school dressed in pyjamas. Each class and year group chose a book to focus on for the day, they decorated their classes, had lots of opportunities for storytelling and completed cross-curricular tasks related to their chosen book. In the evening, at 6 o'clock our teachers hosted a Zoom bedtime story, they are very popular, and we had lots of fun reading and singing before calming down and getting ready for bed.
Well done to our 'Get Caught Reading' competition winners, who had the most creative reading spots! Nursery: Aarian
Year 1: Thusiyanth
Year 2: Edward
All of these children received a book for their entry! Don't forget, you can also read anywhere, find a cosy or exciting spot, and enjoy a good book.
We had a fantastic day, thoroughly enjoyed by all!
