Spring Term Re-opening update 4/1/21

Spring Term Re-opening update 4/1/21

I am writing to confirm that we will be opening for all year groups tomorrow. Nursery/ Reception/ Year 1 and Year 2

We are continuing to follow the local and national guidelines which includes having a robust risk assessment in place which is regularly reviewed. Measures are in place to ensure we are minimising risks of transmission and keeping the school as safe as we can. However as I am sure you can appreciate we can minimise risk but cannot eradicate it. As I have informed you before we have stringent additional cleaning regimes during the core day and strict personal hygiene measures in place for children and staff. Children remain in class bubbles during the day to limit their contact with others. Children are not expected to social distance.

Obviously should the situation or guidance dictate any changes to our plans I will be in touch immediately.

If you choose not to send your child back to school Luton Borough council have made it clear there will be no fines for parents to face. We would ask you contact us to let us know the reason for absence and then make use of the home learning opportunities on our school website.

I would like to remind you all about the lateral rapid testing centres across the town- our closest one being Lewsey Community centre where asymptomatic people can be tested and then isolate if a positive result is received. These do not require appointments and are open 7 days a week 8am-8pm. This is to be encouraged and will help to greatly limit the spread of the virus.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow- Tuesday 5th January. Please remember that masks should be worn when on the school site.

If you have any specific concerns or enquiries please email

Best wishes
